Position Overview:
Paragon is looking for a highly motivated individual looking to advance their career in the security industry as a Security Shift Supervisor. The position is in a Commercial Property Downtown Toronto at York and Adelaide consisting of multiple high rise office towers. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday mornings (0700 – 1500). The pay rate ranges from $24.00/HR to $25.00/HR.
Role and Responsibilities:
Helping visitors and answering any questions or concerns with exceptional customer service
Working closely with Management
Training and mentoring new employees, updating the Training Matrix/Checklist
Provide direction, training, guidance, and support to those that fall directly under your supervision
Full knowledge of Criminal Code Sec. 494 and Trespass to Property Act
Experience with enforcing TPA and situations where Use of Force is required
Respond to critical incidents on site & supporting daily security functions
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of, and adhere to, site protocols
Review Parking Audits, Daily Occurrence Reports, Special Occurrence Reports, Tenant Access, Reports, and Patrol Tour Audits
Maintain accurate records of all incidents and prepare incident reports
Review and save important CCTV footage
Check to ensure all systems are online, noting any malfunctions, and report them
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
Must be available to work full time, morning shifts (0700 – 1500)
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
First Aid/CPR Level C
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security supervisory/leadership role
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security environment (commercial experience preferred)
Working knowledge of Fire Systems and Building Automation Systems
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, tact and diplomacy
Post-Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program preferred
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, emails, typing)
Must be able to work in a stressful environment
