Employment will commence during the last week of May 2023 and there will be full-time opportunities to continue employment with Paragon once this contract ends. Position Overview:

  • Position: Security Patrol and Event Guard

  • Location: Durham region, ON

  • Schedule: Days, Evenings, overnights and rotations

  • Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week

  • Salary: $15.50 to 18/hr.

Basic Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Security License

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Previous Security Guard experience is an asset

  • Must be able to do any shifts which include Days, evenings and night shifts or rotation shifts.

  • Required to stand and patrol for long periods.

  • Customer Service Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Smart Serve certification an asset

Job Duties:

  • Crowd control and ability to give directions and answer queries from the public

  • Respond to all emergency response needs such as providing first aid, missing person etc.

  • Assist staff and personnel with requests

  • De-escalating stressful situations such as unhappy customers

  • Conduct access control duties and provide escorts as required

  • Writing Daily reports and incident reports

  • Patrol interior and exterior of premises

  • Adhere to SOP for event taking place

  • Monitor and enforce rules and regulations of the event

  • Required to work, if necessary, various rotating shifts on short notice and be available for work in a 24x7x365 environment.
