Security Team Lead – Seneca College York Campus (W9)

  • Position: Security Team Lead
  • Site: Seneca College – York Campus

  • Job Type: Full time, Permanent
  • Schedule: 1 Month Day Shift (0700-1500) 1 Month Afternoon Shift (1500-2300)
  • Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
  • Pay Rate: $17.25-$19.38 (Pay increases are based on a levelling system and starts at $17.25/hr.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to the ECM and to the Security Administrator
  • Provides supervision of all contract security staff
  • Ensure all the daily operation of the security team and directs all work, assignments, breaks and tasks
  • Conducts Daily shift briefings
  • Ensures that all security guards are licensed, uniformed, have all appropriate PPE and equipment Monitors their employee performance
  • Reports all issues to CM and the Security Administrator
  • Ensures all security guards complete their memo books and all incident reports by end of shift
  • Reviews all security guard memo books and incident reports by the end of shift
  • Completes daily shift brief by end of shift and attaches all incident reports to the brief
  • Ensure all security guards complete Guard Tour Patrols and attaches completed G Track
  • Ensures security guards complete their responsibilities and tasks
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff during incidents and responds to all major incidents
  • Training of new guards Sends appropriate email notifications and EMS onsite emails
  • Ensure all weekly and monthly audits are complete
  • Report all issues to the ECM and Security Administrators
  • Reports all health & safety concerns to Security Administrators
  • Serves the College community through excellent customer service skills
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive issues
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience in security environment (Tactical experience preferred)
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
  • Post-Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program preferred
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Client interview required along with a power point presentation
