The Paragon Career Pathway for Humber PSI Graduates is designed to create a direct and reliable transition from education into the security industry.

Graduates receive a 25 percent discount on Paragon’s Basic Security Training, a 40 hour government approved course required to obtain a Security Guard Licence in Ontario. Requirements

  • Completion of Humber PSI program
  • Security Guard Licence
  • First Aid CPR Level C
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
  • Open availability for all shifts
  • Reliable transportation within region of hire

 

Onboarding Process

  1. Initial interview and application, 1 to 2 hours
  2. Site specific interview if required
  3. Orientation, online and in person, 2 to 3 days
  4. Site training, 16 to 48 hours
  5. Typical timeline of 1 to 2 weeks from start to deployment

Compensation

Costs

Basic Security Training

  • $148 including tax with 25 percent discount

 

Additional Costs

  • Ontario licensing exam: $40
  • Criminal record check: $30 to $60
  • Ontario licence fee: $80

 

Uniforms
